This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !

So, We havent even been to court yet and I have paperwork to do for a victim impact statement. Ive tried to do it from our family pov and my sons. Any other suggestions or thoughts about doing these? Thanks all.

I did mine a few months ago. It was hard and took me a few days to come up with the right words, but they eventually came.

I focused on how my child had changed. The struggles my child now faces because of the abuse. PTSD symptoms, depression, anxiety, familial relations, problems in school, etc. The childhood lost. The lifelong therapy. The endless "anniversary dates" that will trigger my child for the rest of their lives.

I found some pretty powerful examples online. I have packed all of ours away in sealed envelopes otherwise I would be happy to share.

Hopeful, maybe it would be therapeutic for you if you did? Even if you just ripped it up and burn it after? I keep changing it but that's what Im going for. xoxo I wished you had your chance too. And Im sorry the system is so F**** Up you couldn't.

I thought about writing it down,but I once wrote a letter to my in-laws telling them how hurt my daughter is.But I can't now,too much is wrong with her and most days I have to push it way down.I can't read the words even though I live it every day.
