This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !
People absolutely never fail to amaze me!! (not in a good way either!!) The 29-year-old is sitting in jail with a $500,000 bond. His mother is trying to get it reduced so that she can afford to get him out. She asked a mutual friend's husband to be a character witness for him. (Mind you, we were all great friends so we share a lot of friends) The husband refused, but guess who didn't??!! The pastor at the dead deacon's church!! WOW!! Just WOW!! Is anyone surprised? I am an idiot apparently because I was a little surprised, but very, very disgusted!! The friend whose husband was asked did let me know ahead of time and let me know that she would be telling the neighbor (mother of the 29-year-old perp, wife of the dead perp... let's call her L) in person that her husband could not be a character witness for her son. This friend was abused as a child and told L that they could not be a part of this because of what she has been through and because she knows first hand what my daughter feels like right now!!
Even after she told her all of this, L tells my friend that it was consensual between my daughter and her son and that little girls are just not "little girls" anymore!! Oh My God in Heaven!! Did she really just say that? I threw up in my mouth a little when I heard that!! Mind you, the dead perp abused the granddaughter as well so, was this woman not only blaming my daughter, but her own freaking granddaughter?? Seriously?? I could not let this go!! I have chosen my battles and this was one that I could not leave alone. I kindly called this woman and got the answering machine. Let me try to remember everything I said. I saw both of the daughters' cars as well as the mother's over there so, I started off with....
"I can see that you are all there so, I hope that everyone is listening. First of all, really L? You are calling sex between a 29-year-old and 12-year-old consensual?? My little girl was abused by your husband at gunpoint for 8 months and then your son manipulates her and makes her think he really cares about her after all the trauma your husband put her through!! Your family has destroyed mine and all you a$$holes sit over there on your high horse and I am sick and tired of it!! Saying what you said lets me know that you are just as sick in the head as your husband and son!! My sweet girl cared about these men and thought they loved her. She is so big-hearted that she loves y'all and worries about y'all, too, but y'all have made it very clear that you don't give a damn about her so y'all can all go to hell and join your husband and dad!!"
I am sure that I am forgetting something, but I knew how she was so I DID NOT threaten her. She called the police!! OMG!! Seriously, she called the police and let him listen to the recording. All she did was make herself look stupid because I did not threaten her at all and I stated what she had said. The police did come over and just asked me to please not call back over there. He was so sweet and apologetic to me and my husband for even coming over here when we are going through so much!! He felt bad for coming over here and we could really tell that he did!! He even spoke to my 9-year-old because he was so frightened that he was going to take me away. He assured him that he just needed to talk to me a minute and gave him the fist-pump. I must say that I was very impressed with how he treated us. I could tell that he thought it was stupid for her to call, but he just asked that we not call again. That is fine, I said what I needed to say!!
The DA's office is suppose to let us know when the bond reduction hearing will be scheduled for. I have talked to the victim's advocate with the DA's office and she thinks that we have enough evidence to consider him a flight risk. Also, he CANNOT come home as it is extremely close to where we live. We do not have the resources to move immediately so he cannot come here!!
Everyone, please pray that this bond is not reduced!! Pray that this POS does not get out of jail!! I do not want to see him and I surely do not want my baby to see him!! GRRR!!!

I would give a talk on CSA at that church before u leave n move far far away after - where those church members won't recognize your family.
Breathe, and POST, anytime you feel the urge to go over there. We will listen; she will not.
