So last weekend my daughter broke out in a rash,I think I posted about it.I took her to urgent care and they gave her benydril and prednisone.We had just started wellbutrin and thought that was the cause.Well last night my daughter spent the night at a friends house and I picked her up around noon,shortly after that the intense itching started and the rash again.So I guess it was not the meds.It is on her but,thighs and back only,at first I thought it was her animals,very furry dog and cats,but we have a dog and cats although they are short hair.She has been around long hair animals before and it usually causes cold like symptoms,never a rash.I can't imagine what it is and only in those areas.This friend is a relatively new friend,they were in girl scouts together but never really connected until recently.I feel so bad because I can't let her go there again. Last week when she first got the rash she was there also.BTW she has been off prozac for 2weeks and Wellbutrin for 1week and she is about the same.We are thinking about staying off for awhile.

Do you think her new friend could visit her at your place or elsewhere so she doesn't lose the new relationship? I wonder if she's allergic to a certain cleaning product or fabric or laundry detergent. It looks like maybe she got the rash from sitting on something.

I thought of the hat but if she is allergic to the pets I don't want her friend to bring the fur in here.it must be something she is sitting on,why would it only be on her butt,thighs and back? But also confusing she had pants on not shorts.ugggg.

Well, if she spent the night, maybe she was sitting down while changing into her PJs or something? It can be hard to figure out. My daughter had a bad allergic reaction this summer while we were visiting family down South. She'd been wearing a dress and the welts were mostly on the back of her legs, so I though she must have sat on something. But the doctor said it was probably chiggers. I really need to take her to an allergist to be sure, but I've been putting it off because since needing to get a shot this summer, she's become more fearful of needles.

I asked her and she said she changed in the bathroom.But also last weekend she was there Saturday and Sunday and did not spend the night,that is when the first rash appeared. I gotta figure this out

Just a thought. Could it be hives from nerves? Is there something at the house or the situation that could be a trigger? Even just the separation form home. Especially with the RX change.

I don't think its a separation thing,she has never had a problem going to friends houses,just the sleepover part.so the first weekend she was there is when the rash started,then again this past weekend.Nothing on arms,face,lower legs,stomachs,chest,just on butt,upper thigh and lower back.But long pants on.Confusing.
