This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !

So my boys have now had 2 supervised visits with their father since court in Feb when the judge modified our order. Now both boys have completely shut down and won't talk about their dad. Our older son says that daddy said something to him but he can't remember what. He just stopped talking about what was happening all together. We asked the judge for supervised visitation with a specific agency. I feel that the monitor isn't really watching them or him and what he says to the boys. I don't know what to do. I clearly don't want to violate an order that I asked for but the SV is clearly not a good thing for the boys progress and healing.

Can you get your therapist to write to the Court supervision visit counsellor and tell them what is happening, also talk to your lawyer and ask if the visit can be at the social services office. Let them know your kids are afraid to go to their fathers home. some times that helps sometimes not depends on the judge. I was lucky my judge spoke to my son and he said , he will hurt me if I go there, and after that the judge ordered six visits at social services and then they reevaluated my son and took away because he was a nervous wreck, started peeing bed, nightmares, it was horrible. The kids have a phenomenal therapist...she has truly been a blessing the past month we have been seeing her...the supervised visitation is through the same agency, per our request...I voiced my concerns to my attorney, who is also my father last night...he just keeps telling me to "stay the course" "trust the process". he has to separate himself emotionally from everything to give me the proper representation as my attorney, however, it makes it hard bc I sometimes just need my daddy to reassure me... UGHHH ! Plus, the boys love their dad and are confused about what he has done to them both over the last couple of years. My older son has revealed his "secrets" over time, especially when he knew the younger bro was telling me. The first few sessions with the therapist prompted her to report to DCS. However, 2 sessions ago, my ex was in the waiting room when we came out of her office, he claimed he was there to set up supervised visitation, but the court papers had'nt even come through yet. So he was just casually stopping in, without an appt, to catch the boys and i bc he saw my car outside. now im afraid the boys aren't opening up to her anymore bc they know daddy is around and they have to see him now for visitation. Why do I feel like I sound crazy? He molested his own children and I feel like Im the nutty one! Is that normal?

Isn't that always the case? We are crazy mom's no matter what we do!Well I've learned would rather be the crazy mom and protect my children,besides crazy gets results!

Does it? Thanks for that! I am a whole lotta crazy . If justice were left up to our own hands...fortunately, I am able to speak up and be the voice for these precious boys. I just feel like the abusers deflections, and not denials, proved his guilt. I am growing weary of the feeling that no one is listening at least as far as law enforcement and dcs. But 2 judges have ordered supervised visits instead of the old 50/50....so at least someone is hearing me. I keep praying for a confession. Not likely, but prayer is all I've got.

There is a huge difference between vindication and protection. I finally have the backbone to stand up to him and for them.
