So I got a place!

I came to terms with that's is going on. I have been crying for days. Up until now I just couldn't fully believe my husband had assaulted my daughter 6 years ago. He is an amazing man. Well this may be true, but 6 years ago he was in a bad place and was a shitty person, so why is it so hard to believe!


Anyways after talking with my daughter and keeping that line of communication open, it has really helped me process this.


I have been looking for a place regardless of my personal feelings/denial for the last two months. I finally found a place close to where we live now, that is one block from her school and 4 blocks from my son's daycare. I'm paying the deposit tomorrow.


I am honestly so nervous to tell my husband, that part is breaking my heart. I still love him, and I wish I could make that go away. My daughter loves him. But this is the way it's gotta be. I've been strong for my kids and the family unit, not letting her see me fall apart. I do this at night.


I took a big step and went off work. And honestly i dont know if I'll go back. I took a month to sort my shit out.


I am worried about money I just don't want to be poor again, but it is what it is.


We worked so hard to build this family. Our wedding anniversary is on the 10th. My heart aches for my life pre disclosure.


Anyways I don't have anyone to talk to so I just post some updates on here so I don't loose my damn mind.

Congrats! I think all of us here can relate to the being poor thing.After Dr. bills and such,things that insurance does not cover We go to the local church every week for food,one of the few that actually give meat.And we go to Aldi's to get a 5lb package of hamburger for $10.00.But it gets us through the week.I am so sick of hamburger meals! My daughter's abuser was her cousin,my husband's brothers boy.His mother(my sister in law( was my best friend,I miss her dearly.We spoke every day,gossiped about family stuff.We have also cut my in laws out of our lives,they support him.They are very well off and often took us out to restaurants for dinner,at least every couple weeks,I miss that too.Being poor sucks,but the health of your child is well worth it.Take advantage of the help for low income families even the electric companies have assistance.Be kind to yourself.I wish we could all live in the same neighborhood,have coffee in the morning and get togethers in the evenings,Best of luck

What a long, strange trip this is. What before was unthinkable becomes the necessary. Futures you built and dreamed of become unthinkable. Eyes whose gaze you longed for and used to trust now cause suspicion and pain. Keep moving forward, and keep checking in.
