This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !

I'm getting ready for yet another day in court against the monster. I took the kids to school and was followed yet again by two guys, black Toyota Tacoma w/ shell on the back. After two years of this, I know when i'm being followed, when I'm just feeling paranoid and when I'm not followed at all. They were following me. When I got home from taking them to school I started cleaning up downstairs. I started hearing a lot of loud noises coming from the upstairs of my house. I called out, "hello" and nobody answered but the noises and clanging got louder and louder, my little dog ran upstairs and started barking like crazy which he's not a barker at all, he goes nuts then yelps like somebody hurt him. So then I called for him, ran outside, got my neighbors phone after 10 minutes of a language barrier, called 911. When an officer came, he cleared the house and talked to me like I was totally INSANE. That this is all in my head and that I need to get a life. Then he said that "Unless the guy escaped by being a Jamacain Jumper, I can't see how anyone was ever in here and then was able to get out". I don't know what that was about perhaps a reference to the Olympics? Whatever, now on top of everything else, I feel so vulnerable and unprotected and scared. What's next????????????

They need to take this seriously. Just like that guy in San Diego that killed that 17 year old girl. The court psychiatrist told them if they released him when they first took him to court, that he would do it again. Look what's happened now...1 girl missing and 1 raped and dead. When will the "officials" started taking this seriously???

The police can be so insensitive. They are trained to suspect everyone and believe nothing. :o(
Do you have a Sexual Assault center or Victim Services Center in your area? Is there a Crime Victim Liaison or Advocate at the police department or the District Attorney's Office? They may be able to help guide you to resources to help you feel more secure. I know that in the State of Texas, if the assault took place in your home, there is a Crime Victims' Compensation fund that will pay moving expenses and they can get you out of leases and utilities without penalty. There is also an Address Confidentiality program so no one can find you. I now hiding isn't the answer, but maybe just for a while until things settle down and you feel more secure ????? I will be praying for you.

Thank you both for commenting as it helps so much. Brokensun, this is my hiding place. Unfortunately, this is where I've moved but it's been a year and a half here so the monster knows where we are. We've been followed by his girlfriends, friends, family, etc although I have no idea who the two guys were this morning. California has that same "relocation plan". I went to court today, and told the D.A. everything and he asked me to go back to the police dept and get a report number to give to him so he can add it to the file eventhough we don't know that this was related to "the monster" When I went to the police station, it was more of that same crap and looking at me like I'm crazy and treating me like I'm the criminal just wasting their time. It's totally insane and except for DS people on here, I feel alone. I'm so lucky to have a computer and be connected to you all.

You are right do not doubt youself. You keep yourself safe. You scream on the top of your lungs that you will not be treated this way it is there job to keep you safe and you and your parents are paying there salary. You call the DA office, you tell them that it is unacceptable the way you are treated if you think you are in harms way, dont stop. I fought for two years for my daughter to keep her safe, I fought the schools, police department and the court system. Your number one job it to keep you safe and that is the police dept job also - I come also from a family of police officers - keep on bugging do not let anything go - show them that you are strong and you will not let this happen again - get names, badge numbers and you complain that no one is helping you - try to keep yourself calm good luck
