Spent the day packing yesterday! Preparing to move on Saturday. Part of me is sad because I love this little house! Had my morning coffee in the back yard this morning, listening to the birds & watching the kittens play. Looking around at which plants I want to dig up to take with us lol. But, the other part of me wants to leave here because this is where my children where attacked, violated, abused & tortured! I'm heartbroken because my youngest loved to paint & now I have to get rid of her easel because it's a trigger for her, as well as painting! That POS used that to twist her mind & break her down! My oldest won't sleep in her room because she fears that he will come back in the night to slit her throat like he threatened if she told! I found the box of cds that she bashed him in the face with to get him off of her! They are brave, strong girls & I am so proud of them! We need this, I know we do! I have survived so much already, & have never aloud myself to be a victim! I refuse to be one now! We are SURVIVORS! !!!

You are making positive steps towards recovery, remember things are things, they will be replaced by other things you love. You are sending your girls a powerful message, that no matter what you will do whatever is needed to protect them.A new home is the perfect time to find new activities,my daughter's abuser played video games which is why I believe she wpnt play with her games.Rhis is not an easy process but you are doing great.

Congratulations! Moving sucks under the best of circumstances -- but sometimes it's what's needed to create the best of circumstances. Sorry you have to leave a house you loved. Wishing you the very best in the new place!

Glad to hear that you refuse to be a victim. And I feel you are more than SURVIVORS, because that would define / label both you and your girls around a single (still horrible) fact: the abuses. I personally do not accept to be called even survivor. Yes, having survived is a part of our lives, but there are so many positive things awaiting for all of us in the future, that at the end I would prefer to feel and be seen as a very human, certainly a very brave human being, one who did not allow anybody to take her or her children's right to happiness. Good luck with your move, we too, we love our home, but there are lots of triggers around as well (kids were raped in the sane billing, not flat, but nonetheless…)

Hi, all! I'm just replying to see if I'm actually on the new platform, or if I have to start a new account....

Yeah, so...I was Naive1 before the platform changed. I hope I can get my old "identity" back. It's annoying to have to reintroduce myself. We on this page already have lingering trust issues. It will be tough for some to feel comfortable opening up to "new"-sounding members who claim to be old-timers. Oh, well....

Naive, I sent you a message under your old name, had no idea you changed it till now. Let me know if you got it. n2martin, good luck with moving, and best wishes in your new home!

We moved two states away leaving the home we brought all our babies home too and watched their first steps...with that said we love where we are and I wouldn't change it. We have peace and no triggers and lots of things to occupy our interests. A new adventure is on the horizon blessings.
