So on Monday I called NOVA (Network of Victim Assistance).Not sure if every state has them but basically they have a network of volunteers from legal advocates to counselors.all free of charge.From what I understand they will appoint us an advocate who will be with us through all aspects of my daughter's case.They will set up everyone who needs to be at the police interview when my daughter tells her story,they will accompany us to court if needed and provide legal advice.My daughter will get counseling from a trained sexual abuse counselor and her father and I can also get counseling if we request it.The officer called my husband on Monday but has not called me yet to set up the interview.My husband is not doing well, even though she told us back in late August it seems it has finally hit him.he gave the officer a lot of wrong info.But what I was surprised about is the officer wanted to know where the abuse took place because he said they usually want to check out where it happened,I thought that was strange.But anyway I hope the police call soon, I really just want to get this over with.I have not said anything to my daughter yet.I am so thankful for NOVA and all they will provide us with
