This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !

I am a single mother of 1.  My 3 year old son disclosed to me July 10th that my 28 year old cousin put his penis in my son mouth.   My cousin lives with his mother and sister.  His mother and sister were my support system, now that I have told them they are angry with me. I feel like my baby keeps getting hurt by the people he loves, first by cousin, and now my aunt and her daughter.  I havent heard from much of the other family either.  I am greatful for my dad, ( my aunt's brother).  However my dad lives states away.  He did fly into town and try to talk with my aunt and cousin,but of course denial.  My son and I are in counseling trying to cope.  We meet with DCFS last week, where he told them he didnt like this cousin and what he did to him.  I did make the police report and today we go for his interview with the children center.  My baby just made 3 in June.  I feel like he barely had a chance at life and now our lives are forever changed. My aunt was keeping my son while I worked, all I do is go to work and take care of my son.  Jesus help me! All I can do is call him, so lost, so alone.

I'm so sorry for all you are going thru, but glad you reached out here for support. You are doing the right things, what a blessing that your son didn't keep this secret and that you believed him. Keep going to counseling and talking about this, and come here for support as much as you need to. When you can, check out this website, www.mosac.net , and read all about this issue. It's very educational and covers all kinds of aspects of this that you may not even think of. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

I balk at sharing this with you, but for the sake of hope, I will. My little boy was molested & raped repeatedly by multiple perp's from the age of 2-3 1/2. He is now 5 1/2. While at 1st I didn't think he'd ever get past screaming in fear behind a sofa randomly (PTSD), he is doing SO much better! He can finally focus enough to do school, color a picture, enjoy swim class, play with other kid's at the park with almost no triggers (his main perp was a boy so this is huge!), and he goes to sleep in his bed most nights even though he usually ends up outside our door due to nightmares (big improvement from the days of sleeping in our bed only!)

Yes, life will adjust if you are supportive and get him into therapy and help him heal. That's the main job you need to do right now. Help him and YOU heal. We're here if you need us.

Thank you ladies! For your support and encouragement. My mood changes so much, but right now I feel like my son and I will be alright. Nighttime is rough for us too, but I am praying in time, it will get better.
