Parents Whose children have been sexually abused Community Group
This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !

It has been a very difficult, painful six and a half years since disclosure. We have changed homes and no longer have contact with the perp. My husband and I have worked really hard on our relationship with our daughters, to rebuild trust and love them no matter what. It is our relationship with them that is now often their safe haven, not a place. That is what I am realising. But the pain of what we thought were happy, safe times continues to haunt us, and maybe always will. Just more of what we are working through with therapists.
All the best to you on your healing journey
Why are we all so scared to talk about it and spread the information. I had no idea, not many people do.
We ALL need to talk talk talk and inform others of the statistics and truths.
So easy to say.... hard to do. But i am definately going to be non stop verbal about it all when my daughters decide to start investigation and start letting friends/family know.
I will be talking non stop.... telling everyone and anyone about statistics, info etc etc
I have no idea how.... but i will. I will be a broken record for the rest of my life. The worlds children need protection. We all need to talk.
Its awful, but my daughter is becoming stronger. She is not the one who should be feeling the shame and guilt of this.
She is a survivor! I hope being open, honest and putting it out there to the world will give her empowerment and support (and my 22yo also).
But teenagers are a whole different story! I feel for you. X
