Parents Whose children have been sexually abused Community Group
This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !
Please feel the love...
In every tragedy, there is some positive outcome somewhere. Maybe a positive outcome from this will be conquering your insecurity about confronting emotions and being able to help others. Hell, this is perhaps one of the toughest of life's dilemmas - so if you can do what you just did now, (and you did perfect job btw) you can handle anything that comes your way!!!
Great job and keep it up! You have found your latent ability :-)
This whole experience with sexual abuse and counselling is giving me so much admiration for people who have people skills. I keep saying that my counsellor is worth her weight in gold. I'm sure that she has her struggles, but I would much rather solve practical problems or word or maths problems than navigate the complexities of relationships. Dh loves anything to do with politics and I am just the opposite. Call a spade a spade. Can't stand all the twists and turns etc. All this to say that dealing with people leaves me exhausted. Even now that I have had the talk with dd and I can see lots of positives I just feel drained. Can anyone relate to this or is it just my personality?
Hugs to all.
And yes, feeling drained is a big part of healing from this. I don't think you are giving yourself the credit that you deserve. I consider you a sister Warriormama. You are a hero with a heart! :)
