Parents Whose children have been sexually abused Community Group
This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !
I used to cry a lot my mother always put me down , my first husband kissed the hurt away. After he died I cried constantly, then my son was born it took away my tears until he got molested by an ex boyfriend. I cried constantly about everything. people kept saying your having a nervous break down. then I got this amazing therapist. she told me tears washed away the hurt and as long as you had excess tears you were still hurting inside. that made a lot of sense. so I worked on the hurt but I can say this is 25 years later and I still cry when I think about it. I still want to kill the SOB , because he got away with it. All he got was an assault to a minor charge nothing more because back then they never got kids to disclose. at least some things have changed it is so sad then men and woman are still abusing our children. what kind of world do we live in , that people get kicks out of seeing children in pain. I pray that my son will deal with his pain and hurt and one day he will forgive me. I am tempted to write his fiancé and tell her all the hurt so she is aware of it. My husband says stay out of it, they are hundred of miles away. Time has gone by , but I can't move on as long as my son hates me and will never forgive me for what happened to him. it doesn't matter I tried everything. There was no page unturned. My own mother turned my son against me. Now she died and never told him the truth. What justice is there in that. ? So tears will continue to flow and thinking of all the pain you are all going through brings more tears.I hope one day all the hurt will be removed for all of us , until then I share my tears with you and you are welcome to share yours too.as well as anyone else. hugs casey.
Every journey is different.
I can say the pain never goes away. But the frequency of that gut wrenching pain does. I can say we all live our new "normal" lives. That includes effects of the abuse and aftermath BUT we are no longer zombies.
Hugs and MUCH support to you.
