Parents Whose children have been sexually abused Community Group
This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !
When we all said it was okay to fall, we didn't mean for u to take that so literally!!!
Take care of yourself. Maybe look for single story home?
It's not actually my middle finger but the ring finger. Of course it's my dominant hand that has the thumb and fingers out of action. Shouldn't be for long I hope, maybe a week or two. Finding more things that are hurting and realise I also hit my head. Just hoping that oldest dd doesn't go downhill emotionally from this as she seemed rather out of sorts tonight and she and I are very close. I think it scared her a fair bit and she even rang from school.
I need to avoid NSAIDs Naive1.
Re our next house, you're not the first to suggest a single storey house 96Percent. I'd prefer fewer steps. It's only been a matter of time before I fell down these ones.
Thanks for the well wishes. Will get some sleep and start off on a better foot tomorrow (I think they're still OK).
Hugs, Laura
Thanks for all the well wishes. I am VERY CAUTIOUS near stairs now! Our laundry and bedroom are downstairs so I use the stairs a fair bit.
Eat lots of fruits/veggies and protein for fastest healing. Get vitamin E from sunflower seeds, almonds, etc. Eat foods high in vitamin C for soft-tissue damage, and drink lots of liquids!
If the injury is what I think then it needs to have a local anaesthetic so they can move the thumb into different positions and x-ray it to determine the extent of the damage. Not looking forward to this but it needs to be done. It's something different to focus on.
Warmly, Laura
No doubt I will have more info as results of MRIs come in and seeing more doctors. Amazing how quickly life can take a different tack. In some ways it's good to have something completely different to focus on. The biggest negative is that I'm very easily startled/anxious again since the fall. Have a session with my counsellor tomorrow.
Better eat something then head out to the next medical appointment and counselling session for dd. It's beautiful sunny weather so I will enjoy sitting and reading. This is forcing me to slow down and let others look after me.
