I too don't understand why or how people are so quick to side with the preparator! Of course they would never admit something like this and our children would not have the knowledge to make this us!

I'm sorry for what you're going through! I totally understand. We are currently going through the legal process. And I feel like we will be completely alone when it's all over. I don't understand how family can take the side of the perp. Same situation. 26 yr old lawyered up right away. You think you have control over the emotions. But nope. They seem to always. Be there!

Beyond belief even now almost four years later. I completely understand the losses are almost too great to bare. Shame on them. I hope you find the support you need and people you can depend on as well as your son. The family dysfunction is a powerful force that you have chosen to step out of. I hope one day we can look back and be proud of ourselves and the difficult choices we've made.

Yep.....my baby's daddy, the perp, had virtually every-one on side.....said I was a deluded nutter who had brain washed our 4 year old into saying this stuff......all I can say is YOU ARE NOT ALONE.......we are here to support you.....we have suffered it too xxx

I am so sorry that you are going through this nightmare.
When my step grand daughter was 3 Child Protection took her.
In the interview they showed her pictures of her body and asked did her Daddy touch her there, going to all parts with her saying YES HE DID. They then used a doll & again she said YES.
This day they had been to the beach & coming home he gave her a bath as he did every night.
There was no parts of her body including vagina that were marked.
They took her of her Dad & family which stole her innocence.
She was treated like an Adult rape victem
She was a bright little girl who became
NO ONE LOVES ME, NO BODY CARES.

Can I give you advice on making sure what your child says is true.
Was there evidence ?
Did you involve the police ?
Has your child with- drawn into him self ?
My heart breaks for you, This is not my story, I just read your post.
I do understand you, & it is terrible when family & friends take sides.
Be careful who you talk to, with out thinking they can be discussing you, a child hears & stories spread.

Gold heart they don’t ask those questions in an interview. The child basically has to disclose on their own without prompting. They do use a picture and the child will name body parts. More often than not unless a child is very verbal and sure of what happen they may disclose or they may disclose later in therapy.

Same with my family. They all took my father's side after my daughter confessed her molested her on several occasions. Not even three weeks later the family takes him on vacation with them. They say they understand that as a mother I need to believe my daughter. Obviously, they meant to say my daughter is a liar. I'm angry so angry and feel so betrayed. I was all alone in the worst time of my life.
We are better now. My daughter spoke up and her life did a full 360. my prayers for your peace.
