This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !

I just wanted to say thank you for all the support you give people on this site. I feel bad that I don't respond as much as you. Right now I am going thru a lot of burn out with the whole mess and other family stuff and I don't seem to have the energy to give back. It is wonderful on this site how we come here as new members, going thru such horrific stuff, and receive guidance, support, love and caring from the members. Then the new members become old members and take the newer ones under their "wings".

oops, I hit enter too soon! I wanted to thank all the "old" members (NOT talking about age!!!) for helping me when I was new, and all of you who still respond and support the newest members. I know I haven't met any of you in person, but I have so much love in my heart for all of you parents who are fighting for your kids and still have the energy to give back. Love you all! Jen

Thanks Jen! I, like you, have so much gratitude to you and the others who have been so supportive of myself and my family. I have wanted to write about BURN OUT many times so I am glad that you brought it up. I know that I cycle thru it frequently and others do as well. My cycle is pretty short because I just can't stand the idea of someone coming here and not being heard and supported. I guess it is my way of keeping my head above water. As long as I feel needed I can survive anything. Maybe I can't help my daughter that day but maybe I can help someone on this site.

Thank God for this site and for the caring and kind parents who never give up on their children or us! I think it is always okay to take a break when you need to. Our own struggles take a huge amount on our own plate and sometimes we just can't be there for others and that is okay. God bless us all - Laura
