This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !
Hey all, as the title reads , my daughter was raped by her half brother on the mothers side , since then shes been placed in my custody, the problem im having is shes blaming me for the whole.thing . Just wondering who else specialy dads are going threw this as this hurts. Its like she treats me as i did this to her

I am so sorry,we do have 1dad her that I know of who may be along.But from a mom's perspective it's not unusual for her to blame you.How old is she?She feels it's safe to blame you,it also keeps her from blaming herself,which is what most kids do.But know you are not to blame,not even a little.We all feel enormous guilt.How could we have let this happen? The truth is there was nothing you could have done.We can't plan for this.Has she has counseling? Did you file a police report?Also important is that you also get therapy The most powerful thing you can say to her is "I'm sorry this happened to you and no one is to blame but him"Hugs!

Hey thank you for responding, shes 11, her brother was just convicted, just waiting on the sentencing, he took a plea of 26 months in jail, im upset thats all he got as well. But yet as for my daughter shes in counseling. The story goes further as this all happen cause i reported to the public school about all her missing days then about a week later i got a cps call saying they removed her and her half sibling from moms care, i was shocked to hear this had happened but knew something was changing my child quickly. The 8th of july is court for full custody hope its goes well. The hearing judge did give me full temp with her mom getting very limited suprised visits.

Be happy he got 26 months,most here get nothing! It's sad how justice is not served.my daughter's abuse started at 8 years old,she is 15 now.You will both get through this!

Im hoping so the dad i hate you is strong right now. Im sorry to hear that justice for your child wasnt done, i think it is so wrong that a drug dealer or a robber gets more time then a sexual predator. Of course her mom comes to the family cps meeting saying that she didnt know and then when i played her voicemail just from hours befor she makes excuses why though knowing never informed me or anyone else , she deliberately didn't get help out of fear of loseing custody to me. I hate to pin all pot smokers in this loser word. It has been along year.

Oh I know the feeling,my daughter tells me I'm emotionally abusive,which I am not.She also tells me when she turns 18 she will not have anything to do with me.Its not easy.
