I just got off the phone with my daughter, she went to her Dr. today because she has been having other issues. She started breaking out with little sores, the Dr. said the stress of all her trama was coming out in her body. For a while now she has said she is ready for intense therapy at a facility and the Dr. agreed. For those who may not have read my first post she was molested by my brother when she was 4, she is 48 now. But she never disclosed her abuse till about 5 yrs ago. She carried that horror with her thru her whole life. My brother told her it was their secret and if she ever told anyone they would not believe her. In her child's mind she believed him and carried that belief even into adult hood. Remember me posting about the time she was lost and we searched for her all day, till night came and a friend got in his truck and the lights shined up under our trailor and there she was. That little girl under that trailor has haunted her all her life, she relives the whole scene over and over and what she sees most in the eyes of that little girl was the pleading, someone please help me. She had never shared that with me until today. On her trip back there last weekend, she said she could see that little girl and she told her it was ok, she was safe now and that no one would ever hurt her again. She said for the first time the little girl in her mind smiled. She said for the first time a peace came over her. I cried the whole time she was talking to me and she understood my pain. Sometimes the pain of what she went thru her whole life feels more than I can bear. It's like I feel I need to go back there and tell her I am so sorry that I did not protect her even tho I did not know it was happening. She is so ready to be whole again and I want that for her with all my heart. So I am all for her getting intense therapy, one session a week is just enough when you trying to crawl back from such horrific pain. She said she wanted to go somewhere where they can help her deal with all the trama, the abuse, the lost of her baby Brooke, the lost of her daughter Heather, the feeling of shame and worthlessness. Her trip back did bring her some closure but she feels now is the time to learn to really cope with all of it. Please say a prayer for her that she will find this place and please pray for me. I know now that I really need to get back into counseling for myself. Thank you for letting me have a place to share my feelings.
