Finally, a breakthrough maybe? My daughter had her best friends over after school on Friday,they both know what happened and what is going on with my daughter.I am friendly with the girls' parents(.they are step sisters) The girls played (well playing involves watching videos on the tablet and going on instagram.) we had hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner. I could hear them giggling through my daughter's door.When I took them home their father was in the yard, he came over to the car to say hi and asked me how my daughter was doing,I figured he knew what was going on and he said he knew most and that it was hard for the girls to talk about,I left it at that.I told him I don't know how this happened,I watch her, I don't let her roam the neighborhood, I know her friend's parents, no sleepovers ect.He agreed. I never thought to watch hwe with cousins.Their family goes to the same church as we do and he told me all I can do is stay in prayer,evil will try to sneak in at any moment. I appreciated his comments.Saturday we went to the pool, with the same 2 friends.They played for hours,the water was freezing. I dozed off,sorta,and could hear my daughter laughing,I have not head that for a long time.I think that sweet sound is what made me comfortable enough to doze off.After we went to McDonalds.Sunday was the first day of moving up for the kids at church,they go from the childrens program(k-6th grade) to the student ministry (7-12).They have a different building for that group with a snack bar,coffee bar,basketball court,video game area.Yesterday was a welcome 7th graders cereal party. I have to admit we have not been to church in awhile,there have been lots of changes there, good and bad and my daughter was having a hard time just leaving the house,plus I felt bad for waking her up when I know she is up all night (trouble sleeping).Anyway she loved the new program, can't wait to go back.Wednesday they are having an ice cream party and Sunday it is a BYOP (bring your own parents) pizza lunch.They are also having a burn your school work bonfire for the end of the school year,with smores of course.Tomorrow starts summer dance,she is taking hiphop and I signed her up for the big sister program.Very busy summer with dance,pool passes,ymca and big sisters.Anyway I am a little less stressed after a lovely weekend and I know there are more tough days to come but while at the pool I voice recorded on my phone and I can hear the sounds of kids laughing and all the sounds you would hear at the pool.I figured I could play it when we are having a bad day and I could faintly hear my daughter laughing and that might be enough to get me through.
