This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !

Daughter gave her statement today

Well she did really well,she did not disclose anything new.I guess we will hear when they decide if there is enough to move forward.The detective did say however if they decide not to move forward he would get authorization to at least have the police in the perps town to go to his home and interview him.Not really a punishment but at least I will know he knows we did something and he will be held accountable for his actions.So I guess we will have to wait and see.God I hate waiting!!!

Yes she did!!! Celebrate the steps of justice you and your daughter have taken regardless of the outcome. Be content that you have done your part which by itself is huge!!! Emphasize the importance of that because we all have to learn that right actions don't always mean immediate favorable results .... It may take time but regardless of the outcome we all have to take responsibility to do,our part to do the right thing because it always matters. Leave the results in the hands of God.

Be so proud of both yourself and your daughter...!!! Put out of your head the consiquences that the perpetrator will receive and rest assured you have done the right thing...!!!

You've done what you can do to get her some sort of justice. I hope this helps her in some way to feel better and begin healing.
