im sure hoping this bill cosby conviction is a huge wake up call to people. Its always those we least expect it seems. A certain social status or already power house or the quiet nice kid next door. It can be ANYBODY.... There is rarely a creepy white van. Stranger danger is bullshit. 90% the abuser is someone they already know. Even a kid, which I wished to God i had known. Too many me toos.

There's such great need for people to be aware that it's also -- and often -- the "nice guys" who might harm their children.

The molasses pace of justice is the other side of this story -- Cosby's first reported rape happened 50 years ago!! -- and of the story of the gymnastics coach. But hopefully the growing social awareness that accusers are actually telling the truth will help light a fire under investigators to up their understanding of trauma. Not just the effects, but of how it happens in the first place, so accusers will no longer be burdened with blame or shame or skepticism.

I don't know why but I feel bad for him.Maybe because I have loved him since the early days,maybe because he is old and blind.

My daughter was drugged and raped, so I can overlook all of his physical struggles and see him as the poisonous predator he is. I'm angry that he made us love him.

Oh I like that,"he made us love him", so it's off of us to feel bad for him,it's his fault.

I'm sure his appearance and persona now is embellished somewhat, just like the Golden State Killer/ Original Night Stalker/ East Area Rapist who they just caught with the help of DNA. When the police caught him at his home, he was a smart ass. Then for the televised arraignment, he comes in shackled in a wheel chair, listing to the right with his mouth open like he's about to drool... puh-leeze, stand up like a man and take what you deserve.

I can't watch reruns of his shows anymore knowing what I now know, he seems so creepy even back then...
