I can't say that I've heard of it being done. He won't have to worry about castration in prison. He needs to be prosecuted to the FULLEST extent of the law and the parents that didn't report the abuse need to be held accountable for not protecting their children.

I'm so sorry for your pain. My family has walked in similar shoes and endured a living hell I thought would never end. Fortunately, my daughter's offender was convicted in October and sentenced to 40 years (has to serve 28 before eligible for parole).

Sounds like he really doesn't want to go to prison! Too bad. Hopefully he will be sentenced to a long time and develop prostate problems and that will solve his little problem.

Sound like he's trying to play the victim and is terrified of going to prison. I'm sure he knows what happens to child abusers in prison. He won't need castration in prison.

That is what I thought as well but here in sc, sex offenders are in a separate facility???? I'm confused!!??

He may be segregated in prison...but with other sex offenders. I am told that these creeps prey on each other. There is a pecking order in prisons with sex offenders at the bottom of the pile. Even a murderer will tell you that hurting a child is wrong!

In my state, child sex offenders are either isolated or always supervised. The idea that they will "get what's coming to them" in prison is incorrect and frustrates me to no end. I feel like it is something people tell themselves so that they can move on with their lives and feel better, but it's not a comfort to the victim since it's rarely the case.

It's the same way here. They are completely segregated. At this point I feel like if he truly could get cut thn awesome!!!! I feel it's far better than him sitting in prison being fed and watching tv n then getting out after "time served" while our sweet lil ones r left w the scars!!!

I think he is trying to play the victim. "Oh, poor me, save me from myself!" I agree with achingmommy-many prisoners would love to get a hold of a sex offender and either beat the sh*t out of them or kill them! Many criminals have been abused themselves. I guess it is possible that he does feel remorse. And if he does? Great !! Then he won't have any problem just taking the punsihment and shutting the hell up! If he truly is remorseful he won't fight the charges against him. Only time will tell.

Personally, I wouldn't ever believe or trust him again.

I think in most cases we would like to see the b@stards that hurt our children castrated...then at least they could not hurt anyone again, but I have to agree. Seems he is playing the victim. Poor me, I can't control my urges for little children, boo hoo hoo. If he was truly sorry he would take his punishment and go through with the castration. Do you know what they did in the old days to sex offenders?? It involved a thin glass rod and a little hammer. Seems like more justice than going to jail and like you said, tv,excersise and meals. No bills. I am so sorry to read about your situation. My thoughts are with all the families who have had to go through this horrible ordeal.

Yea, I know Texas gives castration to repeat offenders but from what I have heard, he wants the surgery not the meds!?
