This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !

Me and my daughter returned from our south American retreat/vacation today and recieved an email letting us know that her abuser (my soon to be ex husband) appealed his bond denial and was denied by the high court again this week. He can't request another hearing for at least 6 more months now. To me this means six more months of security and the possibility to heal. Thought you all may like a positive update.

Does anyone know how long this may take to go to trial? Thanks xx

Congrats,I have no idea how long but knowing our legal system who knows,I can't remember,is he in the US?

Yes he's in the US. We are in another country but will be traveling for trial

Could we have him extradited? We have enough sex offenders here! (Black humor = the only humor on this page!)

I'm so glad you will have more time to find a new normal, without the pressure of having any contact for awhile.
