This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !

So sad to hear of another organization that hid sexual abuse. Boyscouts files show about 1200 incidents. Some were reported to the local police and some were swept under the rug. You never know who is a pedophile. Sad thing is they seek out our children in positions like teachers, coaches and scout leaders.

We have to educate our children to tell. The saddest part about my daughter's abuse was that she kept it to herself for 17 years and harmed herself. I thank God every day that she finally disclosed what my father in law did and she is now healing.

I agree that education is key. It doesn't save every kid; My daughter also kept it to herself for 14 yrs and we were very open about sex abuse because I am survivor as well. My daughter to this day does not know why she didn't tell. I think when it is a family member ( her older brother) it really complicates things.

So sorry warrior for your daughter's abuse and for yours. I don't know how our girls handled it all alone for so long. My daughter is so much better now that she disclosed. My father in law is like Sandusky, deny deny deny and my mother in law reminds me of his wife, also in huge denial.
I keep praying that he will confess one day and validate my daughter but I think these people are sociapaths and have no concience.

They don't have a soul because if they did they would be able to see the devastation that they have caused. Anyone with a real heart would. I am glad that your daughter is doing better. She is a hero! They survived because they are heros! and you are a hero too! I am always so grateful for parents like you who stand behind their children and are willing to do anything to help them heal. Laura

It was a long hard process before we saw her healing but soooo worth standing by her. I have a friend that is going through hell with her daughter, drugging etc... and she just wants to kick her to the curb. She has admitted to being raped and incest by her brother and we suspect her own father. I try and counsel her to get her hep but she is so over her for her behavior.
I am so happy that although I got frustrated, angry and hurt I never gave up. Had I known the reason (like she does already) for the behavior I would of fought even harder for her.

I know what you mean the guy that we are trying to go after is a cub master and a foster parent. I wish it was not so hard to go after someone with sexual abuse. they need to make this crime a were they have no choose but to believe the victume and keep the perep off the street to save other who may never speek up
