Hello!

I am hoping someone else
Has experienced this...I am typing on my phone so I'm sorry if it is typed weirdly. So my daughter was abused by her biological father. We are now in court because he filed for custody after the CPS case was indicated. Our mediator suggested that he talk to my daughters therapist, which he did about 2 months ago. I just found out that he went back!! WTH!?

I have theories on why which range from ridiculous to possible. My mind is racing. The therapist told me
She is recommending supervised visits for him...what if she is lying and they are meeting to plot something?

Or is he just trying to "prove" to her that he is innocent?

So frustrating!

OMG, how unnerving. I have neither interpretations -- both of yours sound possible -- nor advice to offer. Just wanted to acknowledge your post and let you know that I'm thinking of you.

I wish I knew what to say. I don't understand what is going on! I'm simply shocked by what is happening with the perp and this process you are being put through.

Thoughts and prayers for you. I wish I could say more. I'm sorry you're going through this. A bad situation is only being made worse.

My son's perp is a juvenile, so there aren't opportunities for this kind of BS and manipulation in our case.

Stay calm.
It's his way of stirring you up and causing emotional abuse.
He's just plain old doing what he's best at - being an ass.
Don't let him get to you.
Stop thinking he's brighter than he is.
He's no different of a person today than he was the person you lived with every day.

Thank you all! I ended up talking to the therapist and she sees right through him...luckily!

@Scaredmommy, I was going to suggest another therapist. It is beyond my capacity to understand why a therapist would even entertain this idea. I am glad she sees through him. My main point and concern is that you are trying to protect your child and encouraging supervised visits is not empowering you. It is stripping you of your power. I know the legal system does not work in our favor many times, but my feelings are he lost his privileges. Best of luck and prayers.
