This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !
I don't want to get up most days. My 6 yr old disclosed to me last an that the man I was to marry abused her. He is in jail and has admitted everything, says he is sick n needs help. Feels more like a plea deal in the works to me. What do I do. He now how paranoid I was. I never let people around them and I homeschool ed as well. I was abused so I kept everyone at arms length. How did I let this happen? How did I not know? How could he be so evil? I don't want to wake up half the time. I'm lost. And on top of that, I felt sorry fir him yesterday. Who feels sorry for the man who purposely hurt their baby. I wanted to die after I felt that way. What is wrong w me? I ruined my family and destroyed my girls. They deserve so much better!!!
I am a survivor of child sex abuse and so is my daughter. ( She is 18 now and was abused by her older brother when she was only 4 and he was 12) I was like you- a very protective mother and it still happened to my daughter. My son was very sneaky and he kept my daughter quiet. The only person who is to blame is the perp. Abusers are very good at what they do and I am sure you had no reason to doubt him.
Don't blame yourself and remain as strong as possible for your child. Children look to their moms to see how they are handling it. Get some counseling to help yourself thru this. It is okay to lose it sometimes and scream, cry or whatever. Try to do it away from your children. Come back here so that we may support you. You will survive this, you are strong enough!
