Parents of Prostitutes Community Group
A support group for parents, loved ones of prostitutes. I have not found another group out there and there must be people in the same situation to share their thoughts.

My daughter was raped in high school. Always a perfectionist, supporter of causes, exceptional student, bright, beautiful funny girl. She is also a master manipulator, more clever than anyone she knows makes reckless choices, is a homeless addicted alcoholic who works as a high-end sex provider. I pray a lot. I look outside the box for solutions. She has been cycling the last near 3 years, in and out of rehabs, hospitals and very disturbed though cognitive when sober. Does it get any better?

I have a very similar situation with my daughter. Also, it has been cycling for a few years. I have suspected within the last few months that she has been going to NY to sell herself and confirmed it last night as she confessed that she has been prostituting locally as well as in NY. I know there is some drug use, but I think it is mainly fueled by undiagnosed emotional disorders. There was a big difference with the suspecting to the actual confirmation. I literally feel as if it has shaken my whole biology and I have been screaming in my head for help. I feel like I have no idea what I am supposed to do. My daughter has been violent towards me and sends me regular death wishes. She blames me for all of her bad choices in life. She does live close by, but it is not easy to keep track of her. I hope your situation has improved since you posted. I am telling myself it has to get better. Thank you for sharing your story.

I haven't heard from her since June. She got angry when I stopped being enabling. I tried to get her into rehab and rescue her more times than I could count, but she would always go back to the behaviors and refuse the help he was offered. I check her trade page and still text, call and reach out to her but she has got to want o get better and doesn't meet the criteria for forced treatment, I have had to let go and let God and trust someday she will choose to get better.

I finally got a response from my daughter, More blame and judgment form her. The things she said about me is what she is actually doing. It's hard, but at least, I know she is alone, angry and still not moving forward to recovery. It makes me sad, but I realize her focus on me allows her to not deal with her own issues. I am praying for her. I am not giving up. I hope one day she moves forward into recovery. We all have to learn to forgive ourselves and others for the many wrings in life. No one is perfect. Until we learn to forgive and move past trauma, we will never find solutions to get better instead of bitter. I hope one day she forgives me and herself.

I wish you patience. I am sure that everything will get better, although it will not be forgotten, but I believe that everything will be fine

I have been patient. She is an addict and could die from her addictions. One day it may be too late to help. I dread the day.

My daughter is a prostitute. It has been so hard. It has been about 5 years since she started. At first I thought she was just rebelling and going out with girlfriends. She told me one day what she was doing. I still black out in my mind when I think on it too much. I pray a lot as well. I even stopped mentioning it to her and lecturing her about it because I get the same response over and over. about two weeks ago my mind just went blank. I could not pray, think, be sad, cry or anything concerning my daughter. There is so much more to the story but I was able to get back into prayer about her and it has been the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life. I am hopeful that this is the year everything will turn around for the better.
