My daughter was initially pulled into prostitution slowly by meeting other girls involved in it at raves in Atlanta.  Now she is fully aware of what she is doing 2 years later, but won't stop because the money is better than any other legal work alternative.  She is bipolar and also addicted to just about any drugs that come along...she primarily smokes weed to keep her anxiety down but won't turn down xanax or party drugs.  The rave culture promotes all of this, of course.  She has had several seizures in the past year and was treated medically, then turned loose without the ability to stay on her meds because the doctors prescribe new generation meds that she can't afford (no health insurance).  When I try to warn her about how dangerous her life is, she gets irritated and says she can't get by without the money (none of which she has put aside to help her get out of the life).  I have never judged her from a moral standpoint, only told her how scared me and her siblings were for her safety and health.  I try to stay in touch every other day or so and I am constantly checking my phone until she texts me back.  "thank God, she's alive" is all I can think and then I go about my day until the next time I reach out to her.  I find myself crying every day, praying for her safety every morning and night.  She is now 19 and there is nothing I can do any longer to intervene for her.  She grew up in a single parent home, functional enough with lots of love if not lots of money.  She never had this lifestyle modeled or encouraged for her, ever. 

I feel like I am losing my mind.  Does anyone else understand how I feel?  I can't seem to shake one central thought: this isn't supposed to happen to our daughters!  If I ever caught someone trying to take advantage of her, I'd kill them with my bare hands...and yet she takes money for this by her own choice!  My heart is breaking.
