I am new to the concept of HSPs and HSCs but have been both at one point or another lol. Now my son is going through the same things I did growing up. He has no friends and feels that the whole world is against him. The one friend he did have recently has turned on him and its heart breaking!! I haven't a clue as to how to help him as I couldn't deal with these situations as a child either. We live in a small small town and the kids here aren't very sensitive friendly. They see it as a weakness and tend to pounce. He is in the 4th grade and will be going to Junior High School soon, I want to be able help him make at least one friend who doesn't turn ugly toward him. Does anyone else from a small town have this problem and if so, how have you dealt with it?

I am not sure of answers, but will think more about our experience and try to post more for you later. I can give you the hope that my son, who is going into the 8th grade, has found friends over the last year or so....as he has moved up in grades, the demographic has shifted some and he has more found his place.
