Hello all, I am trying to get one of the many estranged parent forums to be more active. Apparently, years ago these forums were more popular and people posted and responded but not so much any longer. This is the link below that seems to draw the most parents. Please post on the link below so we can create an active forum with many members. If you notice the dates of posts on this forum, you'll see we aren't doing so well. See you all over there, I picked that one because it has the most posts lately! Please feel free to post your own new thread or reply to someone else on the link below. Last night’s topic was the role of mental illness and estrangement.
I do see now that adult child estrangement is an epidemic. Parents are seeking answers and looking for compassionate support.

That is super interesting about Coleman's webinar! I did his series about 8 years ago and there were not that many parents each time. I think the word is getting out and parents are seeking support and help. I have heard that the old way DailyStrength was had a more interactive feel, I have heard you could instant message someone and chat on here. That feature is gone. There used to be an estrangement forum on here before the big change a few years ago that was always hopping. Lots of parents. I have heard that after DS changed its format, they started a website and moved over there but last I checked, that forum had died to no fresh postings. I think that is a good idea about interaction, worth trying on the one forum that we usually post on that is more active. I can see that at one time DS had about 5+ estranged parent forums but many are "dead" meaning no current posts or responses.
Shorefindpurpose, you found this other forum but I will respond in case anyone reading has the same question.
