One or more of our adult children walked out of our lives and never looked back.
Three months ago my son had a disagreement with my husband and me. We have always had a wonderful close relationship with my granddaughter who is 6. He is now withholding her and threatening that she can’t be with us. I am devastated.. she is very unhappy too.. this is all over nothing important and he is getting worse I can hardly believe the pain and betrayal

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I also have a six year old granddaughter. I miss her so much. The pain is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before.

I believe there is something wrong with people like our estranged adult children who choose to inflict pain. To me, it so often sounds like control and manipulation. Mom and dad better do what I want or I will show them true pain. Be good to yourself, this is a terrible situation. You deserve better.
