Breath. Now, about the meds. Have you talked to the doctor about the situation? What I would do is talk with his teacher, let her know what's going on. Never mind her judgement. People will always judge. It doesn't really matter what she thinks. But what you can do is head her off at the pass. Let her know that you expect this to be a team effort. You plan to do all that you can to make sure he has successful school days. Being a parent is the hardest job in the world!! Don't let him know how nervous you are, eventhough he can probably sense it. All children are labeled. The smart one, the fat one, The silly one. That's something you cannot change. So try to take that off your plate. Do you have the time to spend at the school during the day? Go up there to help out in the class- reading or something. While you are doing that check out the other children. Who is your child drawn to, who is drawn to him. Set up play dates with them. If you can't do that, after a few weeks, ask the teacher. Then set up the play date. She may be more understanding then you think. You have that school history together- play on that if you need to.

I agree with Olivia311, you will drive yourself insane if you worry about what other people think. I am sorry to say, that there is a good chance school will always be an issue for your son and you will have to deal with teachers and probably parents eventually. You worry about you and your son and just make sure he is in the right environment, you may have to move him to a diffent class or school a time or two or three. I know it could be embarrassing if he doesn't get along with the teacher you know from high school, but I have learned that I have to put my feelings aside so I can do what is right for my child. If you haven't already, try to find a sport or hobby he can be good at or at least enjoy a lot. That seems to give them a boost of self esteem. Good luck!
