Parents of Children with ADHD Support Group
This community is designed as an open forum where the parents and guardians of children with ADHD (Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) can give and receive support, as well as discuss ideas, techniques, concerns, surprises, and challenges they may face with their children.

I would like to join a support group of parents who have children with both ADHD/ODD. As many of you know having a child with ADHD is extremely challenging, and to add ODD to the mix is BEYOND draining in all areas of life. I often feel judged and missunderstod even lonely at times. It would be nice to have some comfort in a support group where I feel I am not alone!!! because many many times as a parent we feel that we are fighting against the world for our children!

You should also look into a local chapter of CHADD (Children and Adults with ADHD). This organization has many local chapters, along with regional and national conferences (this year's national conference is in San Francisco in November) which are very informative. Best part is meeting all these other parents who have kids with the same issues - this immediately resolves the issue of feeling alone! ODD is not uncommon to have with ADHD, so you will definitely find others with the same issues. Good luck, and keep reaching out!
