This community is designed as an open forum where the parents and guardians of children with ADHD (Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) can give and receive support, as well as discuss ideas, techniques, concerns, surprises, and challenges they may face with their children.

If anyone is interested in taking a 10 week, live, on-line parenting class for parents of children with severe behaviors, go to the website above and register for the free on-line course Beyond Consequences is hosting tonight to introduce the class. Heather Forbes is the therapist that hosts the class, she has lived what we are going through and understands. It was the best thing I have done thus far to improve life with our son that suffers with ADHD/ODD. This is somewhat of a big committment, 1.5 hours a week for 10 weeks, but so worth it. It's only $197 for 2 people.
I do not recieve anything from this company for 'recruiting parents', I just really want to help parents because I know how frustrating it can get dealing with our children. I have spent many nights crying and too many days screaming and yelling. This is what worked for me. It's not an instant fix, but over time, things have gotten better. Me and my son have a better relationship, there's not much screaming and yelling going on with anyone in our house these days. Yes, we still have an issue every once in a while, but I am better prepared to handle it so it doesn't snowball into a worse situation. Take care!
