Out of control

Does anyone else feel like they have lost all control as a parent. My son that has ADHD and ODD has been driving me crazy. The worse he behaves the more out of control my whole house is. He sets the tone for how all three of my kids act. My kids do not listen to me no matter the consequences. I can't take it anymore. Any advice is appreciated

I don't have any advice but I understand how you feel. My son is driving me crazy and makes my other kids act out.. iIs your son on medication?

I totally understand, my 17-year-old daughter has ADHD and also sets the mood for the entire house. If she is happy everything is good but if she is in a bad mood watch out. She is on Vyvanse and it does help but she has little to no empathy for others. She is having trouble keeping friends because she is selfish BUT she doesn't understand that she is selfish. This mom is pulling her hair out.

Yes he is on medication for his ADHD, oh boy if he wasn't this would be way worse. Even on his medicine there are just days he is in a mood and it creates total chaos. I'm at my wits end with trying to help them get along. They all three fight all the time. Like seriously non stop. I can ground them, put them on time out it's doesn't matter. Let's just say school can't start back up fast enough lol. Don't get me wrong, I love them but the break from the constant fighting while they are at school is nice.

Seems you are in a beach with big waves and your strategy is to stand up firm.
That may work for a while.

Jump, dive, swim... try different things, but most important enjoy it!
You know what is the weakness of a kid win ADHD?
They have attention deficit.

Use it for your advantage. Distract them , confuse them , have fun.
My grandson runs all over the house. Any attempt to stop him by reason or force is futile and will become tragedy... but , for example, I take out a shoe and call him "Hey, come and smell this!", or crank up the radio and (I) start dancing.... CREATE A DISTRACTION... That is their weak point.
This kids usually have a very low self stem, positive reinforcement works miracles, negative reinforcement just make them worst.
