Where to start or end for that matter. I have so many feelings right now i cant sort them out. I have been crying since about 1030 am when i got the call from my sons school. He was sent to office, correction...escorted by the school police gaurd, for having a tantrum in class. The tantrum consisted of him yelling he didnt want to do the work and hiding his papers from the teacher. And so on and so on. Well the last three weeks acording to reports from teacher he has been doing much better. But today i was told this has been going on for 2 weeks. I told the pricapal how am i suppose to help when the school has two different storys. Oh and he is oss for 2 days. Everything is so up and down. Either very high and good days or very low and horrible days. I feel like i am always second guessing myself and feeling like i am failing some where. I am just trying my best. I was also told i should have him re eval because he might have slightly autstic behavor or odd ad ocd. I dont know what to do anymore. I feel lost in my head.

I feel so bad for you Skc. I understand your feelings totally about the school and not getting the correct communication. How long has it been since he was elvaluated? Can you see a different health professional other then the one you have seen in the past? Getting a second opionion wouldn't hurt if possible. That maybe a good idea and help wirh your peace of mind. Good Luck..thinking of you

I had my son evaluated in KD by the teacher and pediatrician. In grade one, i had him evaluated by a private psychologist. In 4th grade, he had a psych-ed evaluation by the district psychologist at school. At the end of grade 5, he was evaluated by an Autism specialist (it was ruled out) I returned to the original pediatrician for medication, finally in 7th grade. That took about 4 months of trial and error to get it right. Now, he is in the 8th grade and doing really well. He made it on the honor roll for first semester. My point is that this is not a one time thing. During all those years, it was very rough and we even moved schools starting in 6th grade. I cried a lot, but now, I am seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. I wish you all the best. Hang in there as age does help a lot of the times.

Thank you so much for your support. We recently got a bsc so with her help and me going up to the school. The behavior chart is no more. It will be a note book to write everything down in good and bad. Also he will have a reward chart in school now with the bsc. And after talking with my one good friend he convinced me i need a new eval by a psy. So i set one up with a new group who has great reviews. May 2. These 2 days he was out he was great at home. Did all his work and more. I know it takes time and age will help it just rough. Thank you guys so much. I always feel better after being on here
