He also refuses to do homework frequently and I've learned not to take on the stress myself. He gets to go to school with it incomplete and suffer the consequences at school. I think he learns a lot more from that than from seeing mom flip out.
Good luck! I know it must be very frustrating.
Listen, I won't go into gorry details about my son but we had to recently ask him to leave our home. He decided that he didn't have to respect our rules, our boundaries, and continually did things that were unacceptable to our beliefs and morals. My health has been suffering and I've had to go on medications. So please take care of yourself - especially the stress. It's very hard to do this while you're trying to raise your 13 year old and you have more years to go to get him through school and out on his own. The frustration can build beyond belief. Find things that you can do to help your stress. I am also afraid of our sons future but at some point we had to let him go and make him understand that we can't deal with the stress and daily drama anymore. So hang in there, and I really hope things will get better for your son and for you. Take Care.
