I have two young children one of whom has been homeschooling since March. He was finally diagnosed with ADHD and ODD last year, after years of trying to get help and no one listening to me. I was told not to give him his medication when he is not in school so I have not done so. I am losing my mind. He is a very bright kid who is in the gifted and talented class in his school. He is very lazy and does not seem to care about anything other than what he wants.

He constantly lies about everything and I am fed up! He does not do his work instead he watches videos and plays games on the laptop when he is supposed to do his work. He does not seem to understand he will repeat the grade he is in if he does not do his work; he just does not care! I feel like wanting him institutionalized or something because i just can't with him anymore. Daily aggravation with him. He talks back to me, ignores me when I tell him to do something, yells at me and a few times he's put his hands on me when I tried to discipline him. He does not do this with his father because he is afraid of him, I'm with him 24/7 and still take care of both of them when my SO gets home from work. My mental health is struggling because of him and now my 2yo is behaving like the big one. I dont know what I want or need but I am struggling with him.
