I do not blame you for wanting to just let meds go. I cannot imagine ever hearing my 6 year old say anything of the such, but then again I never omagined her trying to flip over a mattress out of frustration...which she tried last year. My little girl started Aderral yday morning and she did ok in the day. She was a little quiet afterschool, but started getting agitated by herself. 4:00pm-4:40pm,...major crying fit. She sat in the same spot..seemed almost too tired to fight, then she went on saying "I want dadddy to help me" for 40 mins. Some book she had, and my husband had to take a call fromwork. She didn't want my help..only DAD!I just ignored her for almost the whole 40mins. SHe was edgy the whole night. I thought it took a few days for side effects, but I guess not. (lol)She was SO cranky and moody. Less hyper, but really moody. I will give it some time, but I hope it doesn't get worse. Take a deep breath..you are almost on your vacation and I will pray you have a good one. You and your son deserve a break with the family. God bless!
Our son also had a bad reaction to Adderall. In our experience, it only gets worse over time with this particular family of medications. I strongly recommend giving the doctor a call about what you're seeing.
