My daughter spent over an hour last night blaming me for herself. I thought it was interesting everything I am to blame for:
1- not understanding what it was like for her in recovery
2- being the only person there for her
3-worrying about her
4-expecting her to work
and the best: for her own guilt! I am to blame for her guilt that she carries for her drug use and her overdose that cause her to die until I have her CPR because she does not think that I have progressed enough in my program and she can't see any changes in me.
I almost laughed in her face! How dare she blame me! She doesn't even follow a program

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Guilt is the single biggest trigger that an addict can face, When I went through outpatient treatment, I was exposed to emdr therapy which made the unknown, known so that I could let it go. It was rough at times but only for a few days and then it was gone in a puff of smoke and I felt like a million dollars.
The 12 steps did the same thing but a little differently and helped me get rid of all my residual guilt. I would not be here today without having gone through those things. Of that I am sure. Now I have a great life.
So it sounds like mother may have a problem with addiction. You said, because she does not think that I have progressed enough in my program and she can't see any changes in me."
We will keep you and your daughter in our thoughts and prayers,
