He still telling me and his father that everything would be ok if we just let him smoke marijuana.He was marchman acted after I took him to the ER for being intoxicated with xanas. I found jars of marijuana all over hidden in the house. I tried to put him in rehab and he told the people that he felt sick and was exposed to COVId. It was a lie.He is fine. I was told his issue is more of mental one and that his BMI was too low.I don't get it.Marijuana should make him fat .He is almost 17 and does not tell me a thing. Before he got out of the bacjer act , he promised to go to the gym, stop smoking and do family therapy.A week later he refuses.In addition he does not want to go to school and wants to drop out. I dont know why he is like that. He has a normal family with no mental issues, no trauma or drama, no issues at all.We are just good middle class boring quiet people.My husband talked to the school people and they offered to put him in an accelerated program. He does not want to do anything or that rpogram. Today he just told me he just cares about marijuana. In addition with my insurance I dont have great options for drug treatments. I will swtich to PPO in december and then will try to place him in a nice rehab.

My husband wants to call the truancy officer from school.Right now there is no talking to him.He just screams and goes to his room. I need to do something to help him beacuse I can not live like this. He is also a really bad example for his ds who is doing great and is a completly different person than him.

Jut to clarify , my teen does not have a son.I meant his sister.She is having to witness some of his madness. Today I took him to school and he stayed. But while in the car he told me the next time i throw out his pot he will break something. I am so disappointed on him.

If you had to take him to the ER for Xanax, then it's a red flag that marijuana isn't the only drug he's using. Other drugs may cause him to lose weight and are more likely to cause this type of behavior. Has he been drug tested?

He is acting like this because of the drugs. This is the exact behavior that nearly every addict displays. It's really not typical for marijuana, but drugs affect people differently.

One thing that arouses my suspicion is the jars of marijuana you found all around the house. This is the first time I've ever heard of marijuana stored in jars. Strange. Where is he getting the money for all of these jars, plus all that he smokes? I think you need to consider the possibility that he's selling this to support his habit.

This happens all the time in normal, middle-class families. Please don't blame yourselves. This is everywhere. The best thing you can do is get educated about this disease so you know what you're up against.

Thanks for your response. If he does other drugs he hides it really well.I know he has tried a lot of things but he is hooked on the Marijuana. I think he also has a mood disorder and that is why he acts this way. Kids put marijuana in jars so they don't stink the house with the smell. He works part time and I can not control his money.I can not control him. I found a family therapist and me and my husband will go and try to get him to join. I hate having to look for treatment centers and mental places. I just want my son back.
