Just have to vent. My niece had a sleep over party for her daughter and had my granddaughter over. My daughter dropped my three granddaughters over her house. She was going to let one of her daughters stay over night knowing that my niece is a weed head and a alcoholic because my daughter is one also. I am thinking why would you put your kids in harms way. Well when I called her to let her know that my husband would be by to get my granddaughter she acted like she had a attitude she was trying to tell me that the girls was having a nice time and she thought maybe I would let her stay. But I could not rest knowing that her mother was not there and she is known for leaving her kids when they fall to sleep to go in the streets. She just have a record of not being someone that you would feel comfortable leaving your children with. I don't even trust my grandbaby with their own mother. This is a sad thing. But my grandbaby is five and I think that is too young for a sleepover anyway. I think I would have been more comfortable if my sister was there with them. But this is what substance abuse people have to deal with the trust issue. I lost all trust in her when she openly get high in front of her children. And when I got my granddaughter home she tells me auntie was drinking alcohol last night kids are not stupid. My grands tell me mom was smoking in the bathroom and I don't mean cigarettes. Young parents don't care that their children see them using drugs now. I don't understand the mindset. Well all I can say is they can be mad all they want I will continue to keep my grandchildren out of harms way.
