hi everyone,,, mother of four,, wife, g-ma,,,, I have a 22year old that has the horrible disease, "called" herione addict,, talk about a rollar coaster ride,,,,, been in re-hap twice, realize that the rehap had to be her decision,,, I've come along way,,,,I realized the definiton of a enabler,, most deffinetly described me to a tee,,,, it's a hard "habbit to break,,, but realize it's okay to say no,, and figure out how to solve your own problems,,, I" m in my own recovery,, my addicition was my daughter's problem,,, it actually made me physicall, emmtional wreck,,, I've attend narcon meetings,, different on line support,,, and just by writing my thoughts out,, have helped,, .
Along with the drug use,, comes other forms of the addicition,, such as lying, stealing, and messed up priorites,,, she is in jail again for the second time,, for stealing,, you would think by now, that she would realize she sucks at it,,,, this time around I'm actually at peace with her being there,,,God saved her from herself, and I at least know that she is safe, place to sleep, and food to eat... We had set boundaries, and told her she is more then welcome to be part of our life,,, however I can not be part of her drug world,, until she is clean,, which does not mean not using,,, she will not beable to live in our home,,,, it's been a tough, tough road we been on,,, but just wanted to say to other parents,,, believe in God,,, and remember,,, we can not control our addict, or cure our addict, nor are we the cause of their addiciton,,,,, hope for establish a friendship here with others,, that know exactly what I'm going through,,,,

welcome and thank you for your posting. Although I have never met any one on here, I keep you guys and your children in my prayers for I too feel the heartbreak that you all do. I believe in God, I believe in miracles and never lose hope. I know like many others I find myself questioning God, why my son? I don't know but I continue to love him and know that someday he will live a "normal" life.
