Two year old’s are at a very interesting stage of development. They seem to be just starting to realize they have a say about what happens to them and where they fit in. They will try coping with situations in some interesting and varied ways. The could ones should be encouraged and the bad ones-aka temper tantrums-discouraged and redirected. The book The New Dare to Discipline gives some good principles for handling this.

I have seen a book Toddler Discipline but haven’t read it so am not sure how good it is. This is just the beginning and it sounds like you want to head out in the right direction so I pray that you will find good resources and understand how to use them.
