Hi I'm new to this group.
My daughter has just turned 1 and I was wondering what to do about switching to cows milk but first I'd like to mention a few things which could affect this.
Hannah has got reflux which is treated successfully with Gaviscon. She has 3 formula bottles a day and drinks about 4-6 oz. My dr said to cut out one gaviscon dose now as she's is 1 to wean her off but if her symptoms came back put her back to normal dose. So tried this week but symptoms returned after a few days.
Hannah is only a petite girl and doesn't really eat much and is quite fussy. If I cut out her formula will this encourage her to eat more solids? Do I switch all feeds straight away or start with one a day and bold it up? Which leads to another problem.
Hannah doesn't sleep through the night well. Just thus last week has been the first time she has done this. I've worked with sleep consultants and they can't find out why she won't sleep. So now she has started to I'm nervy about changing things like milk because it could make her hungry. I'm 9 weeks pregnant and really need sleep but I know I need to start working on the milk switch.
I did try her afternoon bootle with cows milk and she did drink it so I don't think I'll have problems there.
Any suggestions as I'm not sure what to do.

I was six months pregnant when she turned one and I totally understand needing the sleep. We gave Delilah a toddler bed because she hated her crib and refused to sleep in it. She was about 14 months old before she would sleep in the big girl bed. We made it special and a big deal so she got excited about it. Its not perfect, mind you. There are still mornings when I wake up and wonder how and when she crawled into my bed!
In the end, only do what you feel comfortable doing and have lots of patience. Everything will fall into place in due time. Best wishes and good luck!!
