DD is 15 months old and we've been struggling with reoccurring diarrhea and yeast diaper rashes.
Basically what happens is she gets a bad yellow diarrhea and then a bad rash (out of nowhere). It first happened at 12 months when we switched to cows milk (she was on soy formula). So we started her on soy milk. Then we would still get the issue (like every couple weeks). Then I thought I noticed a correlation when she ate other dairy products (although she had been eating cheese and yogurt for months with no issue). So I stopped all dairy about a month ago. It's still happening and more regularly.... Like every week or more now.
She poops 3-5 times a day and at least 2 will be very loose even if the coloring is normal (but it's light a lot too).
When she gets the yellow poops (which always accompanies the yeast diaper rash and it's very painful for her), I can tell before I change her diaper. She gets a little sleepy-like, sometimes she's whining in pain...and afterwards she just wants to lay on me like she isn't feeling well.
We go to her pediatrician tomorrow for her 15 month appt. I'm going to bring it up obviously. Its really starting to concern me. I'm not sure what the issue is--food allergy? Bacteria issue? She was in an antibiotic for about 1 year and came off of it around the time this started....could it be an issue with the bacteria growing back in her intestines?
Just looking for thoughts.

we went through the same thing with my daughter, but hers was vomiting. Suddenly, right after she turned a year old, she started throwing up EVERY NIGHT. nasty, sulpher smelling vomit and she would get severely constipated.
we went through a plethora of tests for reflux and for constipation, different medications, laxatives, you name it. We didnt find out it was celiac disease until she was nearly 3 and had gone anemic. Celiac disease wasnt expected because it typically causes diarrhea, pain and bloating, and sometimes stunted growth.
Once we went gluten-free everything was perfect. She has been just fine ever since (other than a handful of accidental gluten). Its worth at least asking about. Especially if you have any irish genes or family with stomach issues also. It is pre-dominant in irish genes and genetic. There is also a chance that she is just gluten intolerant.
