I guess some kids grow out of the napping stage earlier than others. I know this isn't much in the way of advice...
I hope you're able to find something that helps :)
Good luck :)
I was very pregnant with my 3 baby by then, so I needed the break. I would take what ever toy they were playing with and take it out of the room, and they wouldn't be allowed to have that toy back until the next day, and I put my daughter back in her crib and said they had to take a nap or they wouldn't get the toy back for longer. I had to do this several times, and add a crib tent to my daughters crib, but eventually they got that naps weren't an option.
Now they just turned 2 and naps are a breeze.
My twins are like little monkeys and climb on everything including the kitchen table. Because of this, we were still using high chairs with belts to lock them in. After lunch, I would turn on a movie in the family room which can be seen from the kitchen. I would take the baby to my bedroom and make them stay in their high chairs until they fell asleep. Once asleep, I was able to move them to their beds on most days. After a week, they got used to that routine and it worked for about 4 or 5 months. Now that my baby is older, we needed to get him out of our room so he is sharing with my daughter and her twin brother is now in a room with his older brother. They had a difficult week being separated but now things are so much easier. They can nap in separate rooms and usually will go down for a nap easily since they don't have someone to play with.
Separating them was the best thing for us. Life is a lot more pleasant these days now that naps are regular again.
Good luck to anyone just entering this phase of climbing out. It is awful, but just remember it is only temporary.
