If they care so much, why is it that I am ready to take a rubber mallet to my infant Tylenol bottle?
I'll tell you why:
Ellorie has her last four baby teeth coming in. Though she sleeps through the night, (and it's heavenly) there have been a few nights where she awakens in the middle of the night screaming. After trying a few of my odd soothing tactics, and them not working, I deduce that her teeth are vexing her and I reach for the Tylenol.
Has anyone ever tried to dispense this infant Tylenol successfully in the dark? And by successfully, I mean appropriating the proper dosage?
By the light of a portable reading lamp, I am squeezing the dropper to suck in the liquid, then letting it back down because I keep getting too much or too little. After about ten tries and a still very much so upset 17 month old writhing in my arms, I feel ready to write a very strong-worded memorandum to the Tylenol company.
Finally, after much frustration, I manage to get the right dosage, and this time, lucky for us both, Ellorie fell back asleep. There have been times that the tussle with the Tylenol dropper has left her awake and wanting to hear a story or play.
I ought to switch to Motrin.

I much prefer the Motrin dropper,It also seems to work much better and lasts ALOT longer..
It's menacing, really. My rational side says that if I can measure out a .08 and a .04 mL (one and a half droppersful) (or is it .4 and .8?) from the enclosed dropper, I can measure the same amount one of those slider syringes with the same measurements. I know I'm not terribly good in the mathematics world, but I can stinking add!
But again, that doomsday warning of USING ONLY THE ENCLOSED DROPPER.
Bah.
