Parenting Teenagers (12-18) Support Group
This community is focused on the joys, challenges and concerns faced by parents of teenagers (12 to 18 year olds). The major areas of child development include: physical development, perception and sensory development, communication and language development, cognitive development, emotional development and social development.
If it was me, I'd regroup, save my money, and energy for the day when she might be interested.
Then I'd make the offer that if she ever decides to go back, that I'd reimburse her for any classes that she passes with a B or better. Let her figure out how to pay for them initially...while juggling kids and life...
Meanwhile, do something nice for YOURSELF. Go out to lunch. Buy yourself some flowers. Live.
I think you can review the alternatives with your daughter letting her know she might miss out on graduation. Do try to listen and find out what is bothering her and provide love and support.
I have raised three sons, two extremely successful, but I am most proud of my work with the third, dealing with tough times, (away once I sadly realized that if I left money in my room I had more to worry about from my family that the hotel staff) providing love and support, and helping him get to a good place.
