How would you handle this teenager. He gets only average grades (2.7 GPA) in schools though people say he is bright. He has used marijuana with some frequently and also experimented with harder drugs like LSD. When his parents talked to him about it, he says he would do what he wanted.

Sometimes he has problems with authority and engaged in a scheme to make calls without out paying. He frequently does not shower. He seems to think he is smarter than some teachers and has gotten in trouble for pranks. He got a girl pregnant but won't take responsibility for it, and faced some legal problems. He was adopted and seems to have some difficulty dealing with that and said he would never talk to his natural father or put him up for adoption.
