It's only been about 7 nights since he stopped smoking pot, but the difference is incredible. The way he has been able to tap into some of his inner feelings & really have genuine conversations with me is amazing. He sobbed & sobbed when talking about his struggles in school & how he feels scattered & unfocused. Even when doing something he likes, he's anticipating the next thing he'll have to do. This is where the teachers, doctor and therapist have all come together to share notes and determine if he needs ADD meds. (More about that in my journal.)
My husband & I bought him a heavy bag & he immediately took to it. Pounding, punching & kicking for hours. When he was finished, there was a light in his eyes that I haven't seen in a long time.
I'm cautiously optimistic that my son is finding his way out of the tunnel. I pray every day that he finds the strength that he needs to make wise choices & I'm proud....so very proud of him....despite it all.
